Breast asymmetry is extremely common. Severe breast asymmetry can be disfiguring and procedures to repair this may be covered by insurance. To decide the best method of improvement, first determine the ideal size breast for you. Next can be determined what you may need. Does the smaller breast need to be made bigger with an implant? Or should the larger breast be reduced? Sometimes the best results are achieved if the same thing is done in both breasts; for very large breasts, both are reduced but one is reduced more than the other; for small breasts, both are augmented, but one is augmented more than the other.
