Dr. Cassileth offers breast lift with minimal scarring to improve the appearance of droopy breasts.
If your breasts have only a mild to moderate degree of droop, you may be a good candidate for an internal lift with a periareolar incision. In this case, the final incision is only present around the nipple, reducing the final scar significantly and placing it in an area of natural pigment change. In the internal lift, the breast is lifted onto a higher position on the chest, using techniques that actually shift and lift the breast tissue.

For breasts with more skin, the excess skin is used to create an internal bra. For breasts with no breast tissue left on the upper half of the breast, the breast tissue is actually shifted to a higher position on the pectoralis muscle to create a more youthful contour. The skin is then redraped over the new breast. This is in stark contrast to most lifting techniques that use the skin to lift breast, techniques associated with early recurrence of the breast sag.
