Moms may choose between surgical and non-surgical options for their makeover experience. Hormonal changes, after a pregnancy, can affect the skin as well as the body.
Dr. Cassileth and Dr. Killeen recommend patients wait at least 6 months after pregnancy, as well as after the child is weaned before a mommy makeover procedure is considered. After 6 months, most women achieve more stable body weight. (Post-pregnancy weight fluctuations may otherwise obscure the surgical experience).
